I enjoy my food and believe it is important for everyone to eat a healthy, balanced diet with good quality food that has minimal processing and additives, wherever possible, taking into account children's preferences. Each day they are offered a choice of two meals, this ensures food wastage is kept to a minimum, and the children feel that they have some control over their meal times.
At Mother Hen's Cheeky Chicks Meals are included in the price so you will not have the worry of preparing a packed lunch for your children each day, and will be assured that they will have eaten well during the day.
Meal times are a social occasion so for breakfast, lunch and tea we all sit together at the table encouraging social skills and helping your child learn how to behave when eating out. Eating together helps with positive associations with food and can lead to children being better eaters.
Some of our outings will be to local farm shops, and pick your own places so that the children can learn about where their food is produced.
